- There’s one thing that 48 years of life and 20 years of nursing (most of those years caring for people in their homes) have taught me about real estate: Houses are only houses until you live in them; then they become homes. The “boxes” of wood, cement, plumbing, and electrical conduit are so much more than houses; they are your homes and the stage from which you perform your life. My mission is summed up in a single word: fiduciary. I will respect your long-term needs above my personal short-term needs so that we’ll both share in a prosperous future.
My name is Kevin Walker, better known as “Nurse Kevin” to the 1,100 school children I care for each day in the Treasure Valley. Yes, I am a school nurse and have been a Registered Nurse for 20 years. And…yes…I help people reach their real estate goals in life. Exceeded expectations, constant communication, and a flowing stream of surprises that will leave you saying, “Let’s do that again!” You know real estate agents, but now you know a Realtor® who’s a nurse. Nurse Kevin is my name, and I make house calls.
You may have heard the saying that “perception is reality.” Well, in real estate, I would say something more along the lines of “it’s all relative.” Sellers see the value in their asset; buyers see the flaws. You may have a pretty good idea of what your home is worth. You probably do have a great idea of the value of the home that you have raised your children in, celebrated in, cried in, and made thousands of memories in. It’s likely that your home is extremely valuable…to you. But what is it worth to the rest of the population? I will be happy to offer a “rough” market analysis over the phone or via email or to come see your home first hand to give you an even more accurate in-home analysis. This is a free service.
The process is simple: 1) I show up with my research, 2) I review the research with you, and 3) I leave the information with you to allow time for review and contemplation. Selling a home is a big deal…you want to make sure you get 100% of your home’s value. I’ll show you how.
It may be your first home or your last home, but there’s nothing routine about buying a house. What to do when? How do I schedule it all? And, where in the world am I going to live in the meantime? There’s a method to the seeming madness — I know 10 things that MUST be done when selling a home. First, you will need to call me, Nurse Kevin. Then, I take care of steps 2-10 (and all the other steps that will inevitably pop up before, in the middle, and at the end).
Nurse Kevin has created (well…is in the middle of creating) a website that addresses many of the questions people have when they are buying and selling real estate. From lending to escrow and surviving closing (not to mention what to do between houses), Nurse Kevin will attempt to answer the seven (7) most important questions for each topic. You are more than welcome to explore the site as it’s being constructed at http://www.7realestatequestions.com
