Kevin Walker, RN is known as “Nurse Kevin” by the nearly 1,100 school school children he cares for at two local elementary schools in the Nampa, Idaho area. He is also a Realtor® who loves helping folks reach their real estate goals.
A REALTOR® is a real estate agent that belongs to the local or state board of REALTORS® and is affiliated with the “National Association of REALTORS®” (NAR). Nurse Kevin is a REALTOR® and held to a higher standard in regard to the code of ethics. Yes, even more strict than the state license laws require.
The first thing you need to do fill out a loan application and get pre-approved for a home loan, also known as a mortgage. You and a lending organization will sit down and hash out all the details. When you are done, you will know how much “home” you are able to purchase and then can narrow down a price range of homes to start searching.
Additionally, when you find the perfect home in this very competitive market, your offer will be taken much (MUCH) more seriously if you have pre-approval.
Nurse Kevin knows a lot of great lenders. The truth be known, different lenders specialize in loaning money to different borrowers. So, what makes a different borrower? Simple: Credit. Let’s face it: Some of us have good credit, while others have…well…not-so-good credit. When I know more about your specific situation, I can make some suggestions for potential lending institutions.
Selling a house really has four parts: 1) Preparing for the listing 2) The listing 3) The selling process 4) Now where do I live until we buy a new home? Nurse Kevin uses the nursing process to help you sell your home. When you need to sell your home, Nurse Kevin will, figuratively speaking, assess your situation, provide a diagnosis (or ultimate goal for selling your home), provide planning, carry out the implementation of that plan, and ultimately evaluate the outcome of the plan as we complete the selling process. It sounds complicated…and you’d be right in saying so…it IS complicated. But, luckily you’ve called Nurse Kevin, and that’s the main part…he’ll do the rest.
Why is anyone anything? Nurse Kevin is a Registered Nurse and a Realtor(R). He’s also a father, husband, Christian, gardener, photographer, and writer. Just like you, Nurse Kevin has many interests and passions. Nursing and real estate just happen to be the way he both helps people and pays his bills at the same time.
What is “part-time?” Less than 40 hours a week? In that case, Nurse Kevin is full-time. Let’s face it; every real estate salesperson and Realtor(R) has other obligations. The time a full-time real estate salesperson spends with you is limited to the number of clients he or she cares for. The more clients, the less time per client. Nurse Kevin knows his limitations and has a duty to the children of his schools only until about 3:30 p.m. Then his services are dedicated to the home buyers and home sellers he represents. This is not to say that problems that come up during the day are handled only after 3:30 p.m. Nurse Kevin often wears two hats during any time during the day. It’s going to be okay working with a part-time Realtor(R); you may even get MORE attention than from a busy full-timer.
